Exhibition manifesto, by the second year students.

WE MET EACH OTHER

TWO YEARS AGO

WE WERE A GROUP OF TWELVE PEOPLE

COMING FROM ELEVEN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES

COMING FROM DIFFERENT STUDY BACKGROUNDS

COMING FROM DIFFERENT PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUNDS

WHAT CONNECTED US WAS

NOT JUST OUR LOVE FOR ARCHITECTURE,

NOT JUST OUR INTEREST IN SCENOGRAPHY

NOT JUST OUR CURIOSITY FOR SPATIAL INTERVENTIONS

AND NOT JUST OUR TENDENCY FOR STORYTELLING

BUT OUR COMMON EAGERNESS

TO CRITICALLY OBSERVE OUR SURROUNDINGS

TO DETECT AND DOCUMENT HIDDEN NARRATIVES

TO REFLECT ON COMMON HABITS, UNNOTICED CHOREOGRAPHIES

AND TO SPECULATE ON THE FUTURE

TO INSIST CARING AND DESIGNING FOR THE NON-HUMAN

TO QUESTION ESTABLISHED STRUCTURES

AND TO SQUEEZE OUR CREATIVITY FOR ALTERNATIVES

TO FACILITATE SUBTLE FRICTIONS

AND TO LISTEN AND LEARN FROM EACH OTHER

TEN OF US ARE GRADUATING THIS SUMMER

TEN MONTHS OF READINGS, WRITINGS, DRAWINGS, EXPERIMENTS, AND RE-WRITINGS

ALL ATEMPTING TO NAVIGATE CURRENT URGENCIES

THROUGH EACH ONE’S PERSONAL LENS

TEN PROJECTS, READY TO BE EXPLORED

WE CLOSE OFF THE WINDOWS

WE TURN OFF THE LIGHTS

AND WE WARMLY INVITE YOU

TO HAVE A LOOK AT THE INSIDE
