INTER is the first studio of the year set up by Studio Makkink&Bey represented by Michou - Nanon De Bruijn as an encounter to reflect on the future position as a spatial designer. Through a professional self-evaluation path tracing the interests of the students, the theme of personal workspaces is explored questioning its boundaries in public space.
Sensuous experiences in public space and hands-on experiments by the re-use of materials are encouraged to design the ideal space to work. The empty INSIDE workspace served as a material library for the collected material found at the academy and its surroundings. The studio was concluded after seven weeks with a 1-on-1 presentation of the students' design proposal at a location relevant for their project. In collaboration with Guy Livingston.
