The conversation I had with “••••” depicted the contrast between a man defined and ruled by ego, and a man defined and ruled by self. By understanding the abolition of self, consumed by ego, I can project these ideals into a spatial construction that reflects a “soulless” space. A void. A dense nothing. I will always use my unconscious voice to manifest the work, yet here I rely on the feeling of being lost without self to inform my decisions.
